Ansel Adams

Adams kind of had a hard time with school, he said as a child he may have been hyperactive.  Ansel went to a private school and was tutored by his aunt and father to get by, he earned a diploma which was the equivalent of graduating the eighth grade.  Adams primary profession for the twenty years after his schooling was music, he played the piano.  This article says that the piano brought structure to his troubled youth.  The first fully visualized photograph. monolith,  the Face of Half Dome was created in 1927, and it changed his life.  Adams gave his work a hundred and ten percent,  Adams would work long days for weeks on ends, and he wouldn't take breaks either.  In this article it says Adams felt a deep commitment to photography, which is truly amazing because it shows how much he loved and was devoted to his work.  Ansel’s grand passions were the environment and the outdoors, which he figured photography was very fitting in both of his passions.  I chose this photo taken by Ansel Adams because it reminds me of the things I myself enjoy.  This picture reminds me of hunting, fishing, and dirtbiking in the great outdoors.  This picture is just beautiful the way Adams shows the trees, and the ledge of the falls.  The greatest part of this picture is how the light white from the mist coming from the falls carries throughout this picture.

faces story

face story

Bullseye was one of the greatest horses around. He could sprint faster than a train full of coal,  He could jump higher than a bird could fly, and most importantly he could kick harder than a twelve guage on an eight year olds shoulder.  This horse didn't mess around when it came to his job, which was bucking off cowboys. After some long years of working the ranch owner decided to retire old Bullseye,  he also decided he deserved some nice horseshoes. Some horse-shoer stopped by to give him a new pair, but he went back to the old days and kept kicking at the shoer.  The shoer decided to drug him to knock him out so they could get the shoes on Old Bullseye.  Once the process was all over, Bullseye took off running and kicked off his front legs,  sending the shoes flying through the air.  One week later this stubborn old horse died,  the rancher took a picture of where he found the horseshoes to remember the crazy bucking bronc.

This picture is immaculate! It really utilizes the reflection of the water and is an example of nature at its best. I enjoyed the peaks of light poking out of the clouds as the sun is setting. This picture was taken in Waikawa Bay in New Zealand.
